The words “detox” and “cleanse” may conjure up images of a miserable week or two consuming nothing but water, cayenne pepper and lemon juice to dynamite your colon free of the foods you knew were never good for you to begin with. Or perhaps you imagine spending a lot of money, time, and energy on juicing, which can be great but is not sustainable for most people in our busy world.

The good news is that detoxifying your body is an ongoing process that does not require such extreme measures.

Your body comes complete with a detoxification system, and it’s actually always working. Our body is designed to process, metabolize and clear toxins naturally. All you have to do is give your body foods that provide the nutrients it needs to function and perform well, and minimize or eliminate those foods that don’t serve your body.
